Capacity Building Assistance

The Native Capacity Building Assistance (CBA) Provider Overview

Three Native agencies are funded to provide capacity building assistance (CBA) in the four focus areas as defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)

  • Focus Area 1: Strengthening Organizational Infrastructure for HIV Prevention

  • Focus Area 2: Strengthening Interventions for HIV Prevention
    National Native American AIDS Prevention Center
  • Focus Area 3: Strengthening Community Access to and Utilization of HIV Prevention Services - Advancing HIV/AIDS Prevention in Native Communities
  • Focus Area 4: Strengthening Community Planning for HIV Prevention

CBA Requests

If you are a Community Based Organization (CBO) serving Natives (American Indians, Alaska Natives and/or Native Hawaiians) and you are funded by CDC and want to request Community Readiness CBA contact your CDC Project Consultant.

For all other HIV/AIDS CBA requests (Indian Health Service Offices, Other CBA Providers, Health Departments, Native Health Boards, and other clinics and/or community agencies serving Native people) contact Dr. Barbara Plested.
