Community Readiness HIV/AIDS Onsite Trainings

In response to considerable interest from field professionals as well as researchers, we are proud to be able to offer on-site training on the Community Readiness Model. Presenters well versed on the model will utilize group exercises, discussion, and audio/visual aides to fully explain the history, the process and implementation of the model. The goal of the project is to provide training on the interview process, the dimensions of readiness, the final stages of readiness, and strategy development with enough insight and explanation as to prepare the participants to implement the model and eventually inform other interested parties.

Training generally lasts between 9 am to 4:30 pm. The on-site workshop is free to all organizations and tribes serving multi-ethnic people who are providing HIV/AIDS treatment or prevention services.

For more information, questions, concerns, or to inquire about scheduling a community readiness training, please contact Dr. Barbara Plested at 800.642.0273 or barbara.plested@colostate.edu.
